2. Amelia
I saw Amelia when I was walking around downtown Portsmouth with my camera. I saw her sitting on the ground in front of this little tree and I thought she had a really cool style and a really awesome mohawk. Initially I decided to keep on walking because I was really shy and scared. But then I told myself to stop acting like a little bitch and just ask her for a portrait. And I did. I asked her if I could take her photograph and surprisingly she said yes without hesitating. It really made me feel happy.
She told she is a freshman in college, studying music and museum study. I can’t remember what school she goes to because when she told me the traffic around us was kind of loud so I only heard it vaguely. We ended up talking about school and I told her about this project. She thought it was really cool.
